As Google has inclined to green energy from many years, now Google is thinking of to provide $102 million in a wind farm project in the United States to turn into one of the prevalent clean energy investors in the world. The Mountain View, California based web search engine announced on Wednesday morning that it will spend $102 million in to the Alta Wind Energy Center that being developed by Terra-Gen Power. Google also declared the venture in its Green blog.
The company by now provided $55 million in the similar project in May this year, fetching its entire investment in green projects to $780 million.
“The project attaches a confirmed and demonstrated wind resources during a clean- power transmission line, which will assist California congregate its determined and motivated renewable energy objectives. We've at the present invested $157 million in 270 megawatts of sanitary, wind energy production at AWEC,” said Rick Needham, director of green business operations at Google.
As most of you don’t know that even Citigroup has also declared a further investment of $102 million for the second phase of the Alta Wind Energy project.
As per to the information that these will be accessible, when the project is finished and it will produce 1,550 megawatts of power, which is almost double the capacity of the principal accessible plant in the US.
